  I'm not the requester, but I would like to see it. Last I heard skype really cut back on their sdk and killed a lot of applications. Hopefully 'wait for some time' doesn't mean next year.

  Don't forget that you can now recommend your package as soon as you add it without waiting for approval, which will flag the moderators to put priority approval on it.

  I think there was an OAuth based API for Skype but it seems to have been discontinued or at least not clearly documented.

  What seems to exist now is Skype Web that has an API seems to let you build a sort of Web based interface for Skype. That API can get you contacts of the users.

  This seems to be a JavaScript based API, so in theory it should be possible to send HTTP requests to it to get the same information. I just could not find a way to do it in a way that is officially supported by Skype.

  Maybe somebody can take at the Skype Web SDK and figure a way to do it.
