I am using Jasper report to generate reports in PHP and it converts the reports to PDF but our client requirement is to output in Excel format.

How can I convert PDF to Excel and force to download in download directory at client side?

    I don't know if there is any class already in this site, but phpexcel from codeplex (you can google it, sorry but I cannot refer to external URL here) could help you, I've used it in some projects and it works very well in OSX and Linux servers.

      Jasper supports exporting to Excel format. So it should be a matter of configuring Jasper to do that.

      Currently there is no class to call Jasper Reports from PHP, but I guess if somebody provides a class for that, it should be relatively easy to configure it.
