I would like to convert raster bitmap image to vectorial image format.

    This is a bit complex process. Although it may be possible to do in PHP, it would probably be slow because it seems to be a a CPU intensive task.

    Maybe it is more feasible to use a wrapper around an existing bitmap tracing program written in C or C++.
