| Description: | Responsibilities: Analyze and amend PHP software and MySQL database errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports to the Applications Development Manager. Work closely with the Architects, developers, program and product managers conceptualizing and developing new software programs, databases and applications. Meet deliverable schedule in the development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects. Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications. Consistently write, translate, and code software programs, stored procedures and applications according to specifications with the guidance of the Applications Development Manager. Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging. Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas. Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, database administrators and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or the organizations software systems or databases. Qualifications: 3+ years or equivalent proven experience of software design and development experience in modern PHP development Excellent technical knowledge of PHP Strong knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or MongoDB Working knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Kohana and/or Symfony Knowledge of and experience in RESTful web services Excellent knowledge of Apache and Linux/CentOS configuration and command line usage Hands on experience working in integrated development environments Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies Hands-on software troubleshooting experience Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, especially S3, RDS and AWS API Tools an advantage Ability to troubleshoot and maintain Perl applications helpful BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience Benefits: - Option to work full-time/part-time - Competitive salary/rate - Flexible work hours - Work in Multinational environment - 12 Paid company holidays each year plus vacation and sick days Company Culture: - Collaborative culture of sharp, motivated co-workers - Career growth, working with new technologies and learning new skills - Rare opportunity to work and shape the strategic direction of a company! - Company hack days - work either individually or collaborate in teams on those ideas you have floating in your head!
