I would like to know if anyone programmed something like this in php:

screen-scraper.com/

I see on the site it has kind of Api in php but I would like to know if something similar (not with gui) but just with kind of Meta language can be done to extract data simulating a human query in other websites.

I know that what I'm asking is not easy, since it's a combination of web extraction plus pattern detection and storage. But I was just wondering if someone did something similar in this language.
