It seems Pinterest API is not yet available publically for Web applications. I don't know when it will be available. Some people seem to be testing it but I don't know how they registered they application to get client id and secret values. I guess we need to wait.

The Pinterest API exists but it is not made available publicly.
Anyway, even with a private API we need to have credentials to access it. That is not made available to all developers yet. I suspect some developers already have access to it.
