I enjoyed Manuel's article and agree wholeheartedly. Arguments about which language is best are sterile and a waste of time. During the day I'm a full-time Java/Swing GUI application programmer - which I enjoy - then at the end of the day I come home and build PHP websites - which I also enjoy. I speak English, French and Italian but never heard of an argument about which is "better". I left all that behind at the age of about eight (55 years ago) when I got bored with my classmates arguing about which was the "best" football team.
To all who enjoy these "Mine's better than yours" arguments, I say "Grow up".
