This year I switched to use mysqli in new code, because I thought it was the 'right' thing to do.
I rewrote my database and session handlers.
I have been left wondering why.
Because the mysqli documentation is very incomplete, and difficult for ordinary mortals to understand.
Let's hope someone can deal with this!
