I suspect that your flash crash may be more of a linux issue if you're noticing it a lot. I hav that happen on occasion on the mac, but it doesn't seem to be tied to chrome vs ff vs safari (in my experience anyway). Knowing that you're using linux (right?) it may be that the flash work on linux doesn't get as much attention?

Yes, I use Linux but running Firefox on the exact same pages does not make it crash the tabs or the Flash stop working.

Chrome comes with Flash built-in. Firefox uses the extension provided by Adobe. There is something in the Chrome integration with Flash that makes it crash, being it Linux specific or not.

I run Windows and have the same problems, or I did until I updated my video drivers 2 days ago. Hasn't crashed since but too early to tell.
