Yes Manuel, as I can conclude from your reply and from NN post, those features seems to be available and working on the Windows version of Chrome.

I'm using (luckily) Chrome since a long time and using the latest stable version and I can use middle button to open/close tabs, I have Firebug installed (and it seems they are working hard to get the same functionalities that in the FF version), and a couple more stuff.

So, I know this is not a happy recommendation for a linux guy, but you should siwtch to develop/test under Windows and enjoy the power of Chrome. :)

BTW: I agree with all your statements.

I use Linux as my main development platform because it is the same platform I use in the server. I am not going to use Windows just for using Chrome.
