Hi,

Just read this article. And searched the extensions. Within 5 minutes I found and installed the firebug and web developer (official port) extensions.

In the chrome extensions page, search for developer.
First page:

Webdeveloper is working fine, but Firebug is not working.
When you click on the Firebug icon, there is nothing happening.
You can see the comments for Firebug extension.

Actually I knew Firebug Lite but I did not mention because it is not the original Firebug and Developer Tools offer better functionality. For instance, you cannot check the CSS classes that affected the style of a given element. It just retrieves the computed style.

Firebug Lite is just Javascript script that is inserted in the pages you want to analyzes. So the pages are altered. It is a portable solution that works in all browsers including Internet Explorer and Opera. It is a better than nothing solution, but Chrome has a better solution, so you better not use Firebug Lite.

Yes, it seems I was too fast in responding. I apologize.

The web developer extension is an official port. But that doesn't mean it can do the same as in FireFox.

Firebug Lite. The full version as in FireFox probably functions better.

I have Google Chrome installed, just for tests, to see if my application still functions well if I use this browser. The browsers I use:
- FireFox for serious work. Developing, Internet banking.
- Opera and Konqueror to read news.
- Chrome and IE for testing websites, though for the last one I really resent to start a computer with Windows...

Have a nice day! :)

I use VirtualBox to start a virtual machine with Windows 7 and IE 8 just for testing purposes. There is no need to reboot the machine with a Windows installation for testing purposes.

The way dialogs act is an OS feature, not specific to any app. Chrome and firefox can't change the way your OS works...

actually, if you check the developer tools closer its much more better tool and its included right in the browser. In my opinion for developing site and using it every day chrome is the best browser ive come across. It's fast and it has all the cool features you need. I don't really see why should i need another bar or buttons with text below. No offense. Thats just my opinion :)
PS try pressing middle button one more time ;) it actually works
