Hi experts,
its nice to see that M$ is giving platform for php developers on with their bundles.
But I personally feel that this is another marketing stratagy. see these points
see any of the latest trends (or surveys) PHP is the most adoptable language by the huge companies, so that it become one of the main competitor for Microsoft products (such as ASP or ASP.net). So even if they lost the market grip in this segment, still they can survive with this kind of stratagies.
here are my questions.
When M$ giving PHP with their bundle, But it runs with only IIS and SQL Server, why it should be if they really want to serve the opensource community.
And also i dont completely agree about the salaries about the php pros...
this might be true (till end of 2006).
I personally know most of the PHP pros in india, they are getting more handsome figures.

Hi Ramesh,
Your points are so good. We don't know exactly what they are going to do. But if PHP able to integrate with MS products, then it will be more advantage by the view point of PHP pros... isn't it?
Regards.
Sithum.

Hi !
I remenber you that Microsoft to years, moments ago, mantais these products in closed software to many time ... !!
And now creates an open source lab ? Why ?
I think that Microsoft prepares any scheme, what i dont think, but for the news i've received, good think is not ... !!
She has a pression because Linux and Mac gains market share ... !!
And she has FUD Attacks
I dont trust in Microsoft ... !!
I prefer dont use Microsoft Programming Languages, but use Programmig Languages universal, running in any plataform (examples: c, c++, java, php, python, ... )
Bye
